Northern Ontario Council is 1 of 20 Councils within Scouts Canada, hosting 1200 members in 35 Groups.  Located in Ontario, the Council covers the expansive territory from the Manitoba border to the northern border of Algonquin Park. 

Northern Ontario maintains 9 properties within its 5 Service Areas which benefit members by providing a variety of locations for delivering exciting, year-round outdoor program activities.

The Council is supported by the Scouting Service Center (OTTAWA) in Ottawa, Ontario and also serves Voyageur and Quebec Councils.

STOTT, Candis Gay 'Candy' (nee Andres) - It s with profound sadness we inform you Scouter Candy Stott Council Commissioner for Northern Ontario Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Center on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from complications at the end of a five-year battle with cancer. Born on December 1, 1945 to Ivan and Joan (née Pratt) Andres, she was the cherished wife of Derek Stott and loving mother of Andy (Maria) of Toronto, Meribeth (Matt) Burley of Omemee, and D’Arcie of North Bay. Doug Reid brought The Canadian Path to Northern Shield and Thunder Bay Areas in September. It was a day in both Areas, of information and adventures as many Scouters, new and experienced, got a taste of the new program updates.
