Northern Ontario Council is 1 of 20 Councils within Scouts Canada, hosting 1200 members in 35 Groups.  Located in Ontario, the Council covers the expansive territory from the Manitoba border to the northern border of Algonquin Park. 

Northern Ontario maintains 9 properties within its 5 Service Areas which benefit members by providing a variety of locations for delivering exciting, year-round outdoor program activities.

The Council is supported by the Scouting Service Center (OTTAWA) in Ottawa, Ontario and also serves Voyageur and Quebec Councils.

Doug Reid brought The Canadian Path to Northern Shield and Thunder Bay Areas in September. It was a day in both Areas, of information and adventures as many Scouters, new and experienced, got a taste of the new program updates.
